"Teacher we want to see a sign from you."
He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But no sign will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. . . Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish . . ."

When a prophet was questioned as to whether their message was really from God, they were often asked for a sign. In this time, there is a sign to everyone that includes natural disasters, extremist events, and even Covid. I believe that the current pandemic will be a situation that lasts approximately three years, in reference to the sign of Jonah, and the death of Jesus. It may impact our economy for up to ten years however. As 2.2 million people have already died; this seems to be equivocal to a World War. When the enemy is invisible, and we are fighting day after day and losing, how do we not become tired and fatigued with the situation and restrictions involved.
What is the real situation with Covid and how do we respond as Christians?
It is good to be aware that Covid is a world-wide situation that has a label that doesn't quite describe what it really is. It's kind of like saying there is corn in the can, and corn on the label, but when you open the can there are mandarins. (This happened to me personally when I opened a can of "corn" one day.)
We need to be aware as Christians that Covid is not just a current situation, it is a birth pang along with the rest of all the natural disasters and extremist events starting in 2001 with Sept 11. These events are signs that Jesus referred to in the book of Matthew:
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Matthew 24:7,8 (NIV).
In light of that we need to read what the Bible says, in the event that there is an immunization, that if you get, could require you to get more than a certificate, it could require you to get a mark. We need to be aware that this mark is something that the Bible describes that no one will be exempt from.
Because I recognize that the Bible has already dealt with this scenario, and its impact on Christians who walk out what they believe, and are 'People of the Way', I would have to personally refuse to be marked by an immunization.
I am including the letter that delineates how Christians who walk out what they believe may suffer persecution and even martyrdom by losing privileges that will be reserved for those who do comply with the pressure from society and from the medical profession.
Letter written almost one year ago:
I would like to make family members aware, that in light of the COVID 19 pandemic, the government is becoming more and more strict. They are preparing society to comply with their intended outcome. That is, for everyone, excepting immune-compromised individuals to receive a Coronavirus vaccine.
I don’t mean to sound alarmist, but you should be aware, that every day in the news, they reveal a little more of their plan to ensure absolute compliance of Canadians. Today, they revealed they may require that everyone carry a certificate (or alternative) indicating they have antibodies to COVID 19 or have been vaccinated.
It would do well to plan for this situation in advance and consider the following.
The government is requiring this step as an entry back into NORMAL life.
If you do not comply, you may lose the following privileges:
You may not be able to enter restaurants or movie theatres.
You may not be able to enter businesses or carry on business in public.
You may not be able to enter a bank.
You may have certain hours only when you can shop at grocery stores.
You may lose some of your investments.
You may not be able to attend school.
You may not be able to attend church.
You may not be able to attend public sporting events, public performances, or art galleries.
You may not be able to work in any of the above locations.
Every employer might require you carry a certificate and not be immune-compromised.
Please consider what this means to you and your family so we can plan in advance. If you decide that it is a matter of principle, and that you would abstain, then consider what you would do if these scenarios were the case.
